Gunmen Attack Sunday Igboho’s House Again (Video)

Source: Vanguard                                                                               Koiki, who said the house was attacked around 1am, also alleged the identities of the attackers to be soldiers. “I can confirm that those who came are definitely Nigerian soldiers. There are more than 100 soldiers that came,” Koiki said in a Facebook Live chat. He added, “The situation is very active as more security operatives in about seven Nigerian Army patrol vans have arrived.” However, the spokesman said, “He (Sunday Igboho) is currently safe.” Some of the occupants of the house were said to have been whisked away by the invaders who were claimed to have dresses in military camouflage, Duos News gathered. Chidinma Ojukwu, a 300-level Mass Communication student of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), was paraded on Thursday at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja. The Commissioner of Police in the state, Hakeem Odumosu, told reporters at the briefing that the suspect had confessed that she stabbed Ataga. He disclosed that the owner of the rented apartment where the tragic incident occurred has been arrested and held in police detention. Yoruba Nation Rally: Traditionalists Storm Protest Venue

By Gbenga Odunsi, Lagos The Yoruba Nation rally in Lagos turned rowdy as traditionalists dressed in their white attire stormed the venue of the protest.                                                             The protesters. Sowore Allegedly Shot By Police (Video)

 By Gbenga Odunsi, Lagos An activist, Omoyele Sowore was hit by a tear gas canister allegedly fired by the Police in Abuja,   Duosnews  has learnt. Omoyele Sowore. Source: The Cable The Sahara Reporters Publisher was said to have been shot at by the Police at the Unity Fountain while he was trying to gain entrance into the place. He was said to have been speaking with a detachment of police officers stationed at the public facility when an officer shot at the crowd. Protesters had converged on the fountain at 8:30am. But the police allegedly denied them entry into the facility. But in a statement, Mariam Yusuf, the FCT Command police spokesperson, said the activist was not shot at by the police.
